Tybee Island Beach

Tybee Island sits right on the Atlantic Ocean and is just east of Savannah. This past weekend, we took a mini trip to Savannah so we made sure to drive out to the beach! The water was SO warm and we definitely had a lot of fun!

PUPPY-sitting

This is my new friend CJ. He is 8 weeks old and his daddy, Clayton, is a salesman for APX. This means that he is gone all day and needs me to watch him. CJ and I are fast becoming bestest buds. He cuddles with me and is always inventing new games! I just love him! Clayton (CJ's actual owner) told me that if CJ is ever really bad and I need to call him by his full name it is Clayton Junior. When CJ got dropped off this morning he went crazy when he saw me! He couldn't stop jumping on me and licking me! I never want him to grow up!

Puzzle-mania

I've done two puzzles all by my lonesome. Devin a.k.a "Kent Puzzle King" is gone all day so he can't help me :(

Summer Birthdays

Here are two of the birthday cakes I've made for people over the summer (I used the same batch of fondant, that's why they look so similar)

Welcome to McDonough

These are our new apartments in McDonough, Georgia.

Here is the pool! It looks bigger in the picture than it actually is, but you get the idea!

The gym is a lot nicer than the gym in Cartersville, but it's always a gamble whether the TV or the machine is going to work. At least the AC works!

These were taken on a walk at a local park.

Crazy bugs!
This was a cool dragonfly looking bug with black and white wings. They were everywhere!

This was a crazy spider web that looked like a giant cacoon! Luckily there were no spiders in sight!

We miss our hot dog

Happy 4th of July

This is one of the best 4th of July holidays I've ever had. I was really sad that I missed Stadium of Fire with Carrie Underwood this year, but a day away in South Carolina helped make up for it! Stephanie's (Dane's, Devin's step-brother, wife) aunt lives in South Carolina in a beautiful lake front home. Since we are only 2 hours away, we were invited to spend the holiday there. The 4th has always been such a family holiday, so being away from home was hard, but spending it with Stephanie's family reminded us of home. It was SO fun to just relax by the amazing pool, eat tons of food, hang out at the lake, play in the pool some more, and blow stuff up. Unlike Georgia and Utah, South Carolina has not yet outlawed fireworks. We found this out very quickly because the first thing you see when you cross the border are HUGE firework mega stores! We had to make a stop. Our $30 firework budget quickly turned into $50 so I had to drag Devin, Dane, and Jeremy out of the store before our wallet took a bigger hit!

Here is the front of Aunt Jean's beautiful home and her pool.

Thanks Aunt Jean and we are excited to come visit again before we go back to Utah!

BUGS in South Carolina

Okay, really? Now South Carolina is just inventing bugs! What in the freak kind of bug is this?! Someone enlighten me!
