One of My Proud-est Cake Moments

I made this cake for Stephanie's baby shower. I knew I wanted to include jungle animals on the cake because her changing table has cute little animals on it. I looked up different cakes to get inspired.

Here is MY INSPIRATION...

And here is MY CREATION...

Happy Birthday Alex!

Alex turned 23 yesterday so we celebrated his birthday at Sunday dinner! I made a YUMMY chocolate cake from scratch with my peanut butter torte center and topped with peanut butter frosting! I drizzled it with melted Ghirardelli chocolate.

Pho House

First off, we need to establish the correct pronunciation of this restaurant. Pho is pronounced Fu. I have a secret way of remembering this, but it may or may not be appropriate. I'm going against my better judgement to tell you! Just start saying the bad word and stop. If you can't figure out what I'm hinting to, just move on...It's not important! Any who...We went to Pho house for dinner two weeks ago with a couple of friends and had a lot of fun! We had good company and yummy, new, and interesting food. If you are up for trying new things (your taste buds don't have to be too adventerous to try this type of food) this is a great restaurant for date night! Perhaps the photos will be more convincing than my confusing explanation!

Becky's Wedding Cake

I didn't get many pictures from the day of, but here's the wedding cake that I made for Becky! I think it turned out so cute! It was funny because I was sitting across the reception from the cake and I kept seeing people standing around the table talking. I wished that I had picked the seat right next to the cake so I could overhear what they were saying about it! Luckily, I saw a bunch of people whipping out their cameras so I'm assuming people liked the cake!

Becky's Bridal Shower

I threw a bridal shower for my best friend Becky and everything turned out great! Becky's friend Holly was sweet enough to open up her cute house to the group! Becky's wedding colors were pink and brown so I tried to make the food coordinate...not much of the food was color codable, but I did my best.
Here's the spread! There was green salad, pasta salad, cupcakes, chicken bakes, raspberry trifle, and oreo truffles.

The Gorgeous Bride!

She got tons of other things too but you get the idea! Here's the group!

I love Becky so much! She's always been there for me and we've been through a lot of good and bad together!

All Researched Out!

What's done is done and thankfully, my research paper now falls into the category of done!

This is how I felt last night...I've been dreading this day since the day I read my syllabus! The final draft of my 10 page paper was due today and I am proud to say that my paper is complete and turned in on time. I'm very proud of this paper...I'm just hoping my professor thinks so!

This is how I feel on the inside right now!

Drivin Around

I absolutely adore my husband.

We always have so much fun together!

Get your Fabric Flowers!

I am officially selling my fabric flowers (of which I have previously blogged about) at the cutest little craft boutique in American Fork called Crafter's Corner. I'm excited to see how people react to them! Let me know if you want to buy one or tons! I'll give you a great deal!
I'm making an entire set of them for my best friend Becky's wedding. All of her bridesmaids and nieces are going to wear them! I'll make sure to post some pictures!

Dane's Birthday Cake

I'm pretty happy with how this cake turned out! Devin and Dane are less than a week apart and Stephanie asked me to make a cake for Dane's birthday dinner. Dane loves playing poker and even has weekly poker nights at his house. It was fun because she came and kept me company while I worked on it! Notice that it was Dane's 25th birthday and the poker chips say 25 on them. One layer is plain chocolate, chocolate fudge with raspberry filling, and white cake with raspberry filling. It turned out pretty and yummy!

Devin and Chase's Birthday Cake

I love making cakes especially for birthdays! I love trying to make something that relates to the person's birthday. That is why this cake was a little more of a challenge! Devin and my 7 year old nephew Chase have birthdays a couple days apart, so we celebrated both of them on the same day. Chase loves spiderman and Devin loves, loves, LOVES Diet Mountain Dew so I made a two faced cake. Unfortunately I spent the most of my creative energy on Devin's side of the cake so Chase's side requires more of an open mind. You can see what I was going for with Devin's and Chase's side is supposed to be a building with spiderman on top. Can you tell we were running a little late!?

Devin's Birthday at Pirate Island

Only MY 25 year old husband would ask to have a birthday dinner at Pirate Island! It was a lot of fun and a lot of Devin's friends and family were able to come and celebrate with us! Luckily our rowdy crew got our own room separate from the rest of the restaurant. It was so much fun and it was great to see how many people love Devin! I love my little pirate!
